What is the method to distinguish the material of stainless steel screen

The material of stainless steel screen should be SUS304. However, many bad manufacturers use 201 stainless steel instead of 304 stainless steel to reduce costs. It is difficult for ordinary people to distinguish 201 and 304 from the naked eye. In order to prevent more bad manufacturers from continuing to deceive our vibrating screen users and disrupt the market order, which will affect user use and production.

Material identification method:

The chemical formula of 201 is 1Cr17Mn6Ni5, and the chemical formula of 304 is 06Cr19Ni10; the main difference between them is nickel-chromium elements, 201 is 17 chromium, 5 chromium-nickel elements, and also contains 6 manganese elements, 304 is 19 chromium elements and 10 nickel elements; so they have many differences in color, corrosion resistance, acid and alkali resistance, toughness, etc.

From the color point of view, because 201 stainless steel contains manganese elements, the color will be darker than 304, and 304 is brighter.

In terms of corrosion resistance, since 201 contains manganese, it will rust in a humid or high-salt environment for a long time, while 304 will not rust because it does not contain manganese.

In terms of acid and alkali resistance, 201 is not as good as 304 because of its relatively small content of nickel.

In terms of toughness, 304 has better toughness. 201 is harder and more brittle than 304. When using a hard scratcher to do an experiment, there will be obvious scratches on the surface of 201, while there will be no obvious scratches on the surface of 304.
