Why does the stainless steel welded mesh have color difference after spraying?

Jun. 12, 2024

Stainless steel welded wire mesh is used for screening and filtering in acid and alkali environments. It is mainly used in the crude oil industry for mud filtration, chemical fiber industry, screening, and electroplating industry. Stainless steel wire mesh partially melts or melts other products, bonds two or more unrelated parts, and stainless steel wire mesh changes color due to high temperature. From an aesthetic point of view, it is recommended to use overall pickling and polishing after polishing.

Titanium mesh reacts with oxygen and nitrogen, and it is easy to form a layer of highly stable, dense, and firmly bonded oxide film or nitride film on the surface of the titanium mesh, which isolates the corrosive medium from further corroding the titanium mesh matrix. Similar to aluminum, the oxide layer on the surface of the titanium mesh has very good corrosion resistance and is very resistant to ion corrosion. It can be said that ions basically have no corrosion on the oxide film of the titanium mesh, so it is very corrosion-resistant in seawater. Therefore, in seawater, the corrosion resistance of titanium mesh is better than that of aluminum alloy, stainless steel, and nickel-based alloy.

A passivation film is formed on the surface of the stainless steel wire mesh, which basically exists in the form of a more stable oxide. It can be said that the stainless steel mesh will eventually be oxidized, but the degree of oxidation will vary with the conditions of use. This phenomenon is called corrosion. The surface of the stainless steel wire mesh is dusty and easy to remove dirt. It can be cleaned with soap, weak detergent or warm water.

The surface of the stainless steel wire mesh should be rinsed with bleach and various acidic accessories with water, then immersed in a neutral sodium carbonate solution or ammonia solution, and then rinsed with warm water or neutral detergent in the process of preparing the stainless steel wire mesh. Because it is necessary to carry out drawing, full diameter, weaving and other links.

During the processing of stainless steel welded mesh, it is inevitable that some oil stains will be stuck on the mesh surface, so the mesh surface needs to be cleaned to improve the appearance and quality of the mesh surface. The oil, oil and lubricating oil on the surface of the stainless steel wire mesh should be cleaned with a soft cloth, and then cleaned with a special detergent or a neutral detergent.
