How much do you know about storage cages?

Jun. 04, 2024

Storage cages, also called storage cages, warehouse cages, and butterfly cages, are an important type of logistics container in warehousing and transportation. They can be summarized as open-top packaging containers. Foldable storage cages are a special form of packaging. They have similar functions to pallets, but their steel materials and mesh and three-dimensional structures determine that storage cages can be used as three-dimensional loading and unloading, storage and transportation tools, as well as logistics turnover boxes, and as sales tools.

The main raw material of storage cages is high-strength steel wire drawn from high wire. Generally, the bottom of the storage cage is welded with U-shaped steel, which is rolled by a cold-rolled strip mill, and the four corners of the bottom are punched once with stamping parts. Storage cages use Q195 high wire as raw material and are cold-drawn into profiles. It has the advantages of fixed storage capacity, neat stacking, clear storage, and easy inventory counting, while also improving the effective utilization of storage space.

The common specifications of foldable storage cages are: 1200*1000*890mm, 1000*800*840mm, 800*600*640mm, and the wire diameters are 5mm, 6mm, and 6.4mm. The mesh spacing of the mesh welding is generally 50*100, 100*100, and 50*50.

The storage cage can be folded freely, and can be folded and stored when not in use, saving warehouse space. The metal fence has good toughness, high strength, and is coated with a protective layer. It has good acid and alkali resistance, water resistance, and organic solvent resistance. Industrial storage cages are indispensable equipment in warehousing and transportation. They are not only widely used in warehousing, but also favored by many customers in transportation.

Industrial storage cages are durable, easy to transport, and reusable, which can effectively reduce the manpower consumption and packaging costs of warehousing companies. There are three common structures of industrial storage cages: one is a storage cage with casters installed, which can be pushed and moved by hand for internal circulation in the factory; the second is a storage cage with feet that can be stacked and put on shelves; the third is a storage cage with wheels and feet that can be used for both purposes.
