Distinguish the stainless steel wire mesh

1. In terms of toughness, 304 has better toughness. 201 is harder and more brittle than 304. Experiment with a hard scribing knife. There will be obvious scratches after the surface of 201 is scratched, and the surface of 304 will not be obvious. Scratches.

2. In terms of acid and alkali resistance, 201 is not as good as 304 due to the relatively small content of nickel.

3. In terms of corrosion resistance, since 201 contains manganese, it will rust for a long time in a humid or salty environment, and 304 will not rust because it does not contain manganese.

4. From the color point of view, since 201 stainless steel wire mesh contains manganese, the color will be darker than 304, and 304 will be whiter and brighter.

316 stainless steel wire mesh has good corrosion resistance, atmospheric corrosion resistance, and high-temperature strength. It can be used under harsh conditions and is less susceptible to corrosion than other chromium-nickel stainless steels in saltwater, sulfur water, or halogen salts. It is mainly used for sieving and filtering under acid and alkali environmental conditions. It is also used in mining, chemical, food, pharmaceutical, and other industries.

Compared with 316 and 304, the product characteristics and uses are basically the same, but 316 stainless steel wire mesh has a very strong corrosion resistance compared to 304 and also has outstanding products in the erosion resistance of the ocean and the aggressive industrial atmosphere.

At the same time, we suggest treating stainless steel raw materials or stainless steel products normally. The following points should be noted:

  a. The stainless steel surface must be cleaned and polished frequently to remove attachments and eliminate external factors that cause rust.

  b. 316 stainless steel wire mesh should be used in the beach area, which can resist seawater corrosion.

  c. Some stainless steel materials on the market do not meet the standards, so it will also cause rust, which requires users to carefully select products from reputable manufacturers.
