Nichrome wire mesh is a type of non-ferrous meting mesh made of nickel-base alloy wire. It is a heat-resisting alloy metal mesh. Max. Temperature Up to 1200°C MOQ:10m2 Application: hot gas filtration works, heating of tanks, electric furnaces, radiant heaters, the Lithium battery industry, and so on.
Nichrome wire mesh is a type of non-ferrous meting mesh made of nickel-base alloy wire. It is a heat-resisting alloy metal mesh. The most commonly used processing technique is plain weaving. Nichrome wire mesh will produce an adherent layer of chromic oxide which prevents further corrosion in the thermosphere, thus can securing the beneath metal from burning or fracturing. Plus its high electrical resistance and low-temperature coefficient, it is the dominating choice for resistors at high operating temperatures.
In addition to this, nichrome wire mesh also is non-magnetic and featured by superior elongation, resistance to oxidation, sulfur, permeability, and corrosion. It is often used for hot gas filtration works, heating of tanks, electric furnaces, radiant heaters, the Lithium battery industry, and so on.
The most commonly used nichrome material grades are nichrome 80 mesh and nichrome 60 mesh. Nichrome 80(Ni80Cr20) mesh is a broadly used heating element in domestic and industrial heating applications. It offers an application temperature of up to 1200°C. Nichrome 60(Ni60Cr15) mesh has a higher value of electric resistivity than Nichrome 80. It is recommended for use at moderate temperatures up to 1100°C.
